A Letter from the Principal

To you,
reading this letter.

Written in Taichung

Dear reader,

Before we speak of any proposal, there is one thing we would like you to know. This practice exists for the decisions that cannot be made wrongly twice.

Over the years we have often sat on the far side of many negotiating tables. Someone about to move half a lifetime’s savings into a home abroad. Someone about to stake a year’s budget against a rival. Someone holding a résumé revised a dozen times, unsure whether to send it. Three different businesses, on the surface. Sit long enough, and you see the same thing lying on every table: the unease a person feels before a decision of consequence.

So Shuoguo Zhixin does one thing. We make the judgement for you, and we take responsibility for it. Judgement means we will tell you what to do, what not to do, and what the choice will ask you to give up. Responsibility means every recommendation carries its reasons, every promise is written into the agreement, and anything we cannot deliver we simply do not say.

Every price we charge is written in our Charter. Not one figure is withheld. This is not because we are inexpensive; it is because your time is worth more than our fee. Only those willing to lay their prices on the table have any right to ask you to lay down your problem.

We also stay deliberately small. MingWang takes no more than three overseas property firms at once and writes five dossiers a month; we send twenty folios a month. These limits are not a device. They mark the most we can read with full attention, and the most letters we can seal by hand.

Shuoguo Zhixin keeps three houses. MingWang Consultancy attends to decisions of high consequence. GuanCheng Martech renders years of your expertise in a language both markets and search engines understand. Emma Tong stands at the regulatory threshold of medical devices, so that a product enters lawfully before it is understood clearly. Each house keeps its own rules, yet all are measured by one rule: evidence first, conclusions after, and the final decision is always yours.

We must also be honest: we will sometimes be wrong. At every quarterly review, if an earlier judgement no longer holds, we will say so before you have to ask, and we will write down why it changed. What makes an advisor valuable is not never erring. It is standing on your side when we do.

If you have read this far, we suspect we will understand each other.
